150 slots, zero tables
Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs has 150 slots. There are no live table games and no electronic table games. The floor is slots only. Great Canadian's live table listing covers its casinos in Belleville, Peterborough and Thousand Islands. Kawartha Downs is not on it.
Live tables in that listing sit at Shorelines Casino Peterborough, 3800 Fisher Drive. In a straight line, it is 7.7 km from the racetrack slots. That casino has 12 live table games. It also has over 500 slots and electronic table games, plus high-limit slots and a sports betting kiosk.

Who runs what
Great Canadian Entertainment runs the slots under its Shorelines Casinos name. The racetrack, the Player's Lounge and the property belong to Kawartha Downs, a separate owner. The gaming site there first opened in November 1999.
In Ontario, OLG conducts and manages all casino gaming. Private service providers run the sites day to day, and the AGCO regulates them. The slots at Kawartha Downs run under OLG's Optional Slots at Racetracks Program, launched in 2019.

Rules at the door
- Under Ontario law, no one under 19 may enter or stay in a casino, and that includes this slot floor.
- Great Canadian asks anyone who appears under 30 for original, physical government-issued photo ID, and may request a second piece.
- Smoking or vaping is allowed only in designated areas, and the code of conduct bans cannabis anywhere on the property.
- A casino break through OLG's My PlayBreak bars entry to any Ontario casino, and the term cannot be cancelled early.
The rewards card
Great Canadian Rewards is the loyalty card of Great Canadian, the company that runs the slots, not of the racetrack. Great Canadian Rewards Comp Dollars can be used at the slots at Kawartha Downs. Members must be 19 or older. The Field Readings desk lists only where the card applies; earning rates are not part of this reading.
Questions
Short readings
- Is there blackjack at Kawartha Downs?
- No, the floor has 150 slots and no live or electronic table games. Blackjack is on the table list at Shorelines Casino Peterborough on Fisher Drive.
- Can an 18-year-old play the slots?
- No, under Ontario law no one under 19 may enter or stay in a casino. The 18+ age applies to lottery tickets alone.
